Music, music!! This is the catalog of the albums I have made so far. Some of them are released by SynG@te, and can be bought from several electronic music on-line stores - please refer to the instructions at the bottom of the page for a partial list of them. You can order the others directly from me, just send an email to macnight@inwind.it As to the music in itself, it is electronic music in the widest sense. Just like I don't understand (even if I obviously respect) the choice to live a life where every day is precisely like the previous one, I couldn't stand making only one kind of music. Life is fortunately made of so many different emotions, so many different experiences, so many different stages, so many different thoughts, that I just couldn't force myself to express only one single aspect of it.Therefore, be prepared to find all kinds of stuff in my records. In some of them you can find it all, while others are more consistent in style, but I sure don't like to play the same kind of thing over and over. To have a rough idea of what they sound like, just click on the covers to be taken to each record's individual page where you'll find plenty of one-minute excerpts to listen to. All the albums are on CDr format. CDrs may not look as good as regular CDs, but they've given artists the freedom they needed to bring their real and heartfelt music to people avoiding the rules imposed by major labels only interested in disposable, pre-fabricated pop hits. This
series of albums features music that doesn't fit into one genre, but
freely moves through
different forms of expressions without any limit - hence the definition "Just Music". The material you will find in these albums is generally easier to listen to (and could at times even be considered almost "commercial") compared to, say, the albums in the Classic EM series, but it profoundly expresses my feelings and experiences nevertheless, so please listen to it with your heart and soul full open and with no prejudice. |

I
called this series of albums "Classic EM" (EM stands for Electronic
Music) because they find their origins in the classic EM of the
70's, especially that of German musicians such as Tangerine Dream,
Klaus
Schulze, etc. This genre has been given many names over the years
-
cosmic music, krautrock, and more - but it is now generally called "Berlin
School". Please don't expect an imitation of the bands I mentioned above, as I obviously put into my music what comes out of my soul and even if I chose to use this form of expression I have no interest in being a clone. So, yes, it is Berlin School, but also - and especially - my music, whether good or bad. |

SCI-FI
series "The Last City" begins a new series about science fiction (more "modern" than the "Space Adventures" series and its 40's to 60's atmospheres). The story behind the album belongs to the "survivors" subgenre (something real bad happened to our planet and the plot is about the survivors). In this case, world war three had just started when - as a consequence of the weapons used - a global-scale earthquake devastated the Earth, generating a bible-size flood to boot. All cities on the planet crumbled to dust, except one: Zareth... You can continue the story in any way you like to imagine it :) |

I
composed the music for "The Last City" in 1990 and put it down
on tape using what little gear I had back then, hoping to be able
to record it decently one day. I was always very fond of this project,
so it was particularly exciting for me to make it finally happen.
This is part of my decision to give a final form to the huge amount
of material I have composed along the years and that's just been sitting
on a shelf and waiting to be recorded for way too long... |

I
liked horror stories
even as a child, but it was during the 80's that - like most teenagers
- I was totally fascinated by horror. Perhaps it's kids' way
to get acquainted with the real horrors in life, or maybe it's
some
ancestral necessity to witness what
would be natural violence if we still were what we actually are
and delude ourselves into thinking we're not: beasts.
Whatever the case, horror seems to
be an ingredient of most teenagers' lives... |

seems unavoidable to feel some fondness for the
things that were part of our lives during our youth (oh boy, I'm beginning
to speak like an old man!!), even those that were objectively cheesy. This series of albums is a tribute to horror films (especially those from the '80's), both the bad ones and the good ones, and it's made for the same reason why I went to see those movies as a teenager: fun (and some undefinable other reason...)! |
